The Gaylord Texan

Kelly and the kids came to stay with us while Paul was in Vegas. I took them to the Gaylord Texan to see the exhibit and have lunch.

We let Matthew play a few games in the game room.

We decided to ride the elevator to the top floor for the view of the atrium. Of course that led to about 20 trips ups and down in the elevator.

We had lunch at the sports restaurant so that we could eat "outside". We let the kids run around after we ate.

Kelly and Matthew went through the 3D Blacklight Maze while the girls and I had a snack.

Matthew was his normal active self. What a monkey!

Prayers Needed

**UPDATE** George had surgery today, finally. He had some issues that required the delay, but the surgery went well. The damage was more extensive than they initally thought. He will get casts in a couple of weeks. They will be on for several weeks, then a few months of rehab after that. Continue prayers for healing and help for him and our family.

Paul's dad fell last night in a parking lot and had to be taken to the hospital. He broke both arms and it looks like he will be having surgery tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll know more tomorrow.

I spoke to him this morning. He was in a lot of pain but sounded okay. Paul's mom actually sounded worse, she didn't get much sleep. Prayers please for all us during this time. Thanks!

Olesya's Birthday Splash Party

Cousin Olesya had a Splash Party for her birthday. It was great fun! Sophie loves the water, but that means I didn't take as many pictures as I'd like because I was too busy making sure Sophie didn't crack her head open. The birthday girl didn't really care about the cake but Sophie loves birthday cake. Aunt Monica and Uncle Ozzy let Sophie take the first crack at the pinata (since she had already changed out of her swimsuit and before the sprinklers were turned on).

The girl cousins, Sophie, Maya and Olesya!

Happy Birthday, Pink Grandma

My niece calls Paul's mom Pink Grandma (her other grandma is White Grandma); no idea where she came up with those names. Her birthday is today so she (my niece) helped her mom bake a strawberry cake for the special occasion. Sophie loved it! In case you can't tell from the picture, she took her small piece, picked it up all at once and shoved it in her mouth. So funny!

I asked my niece, Kaitlyn, if she was going to make a white cake for the other grandma and she said "Yes, but not until her birthday." I then asked if I could be "Chocolate Aunt April" from now on.

Alpha Dog

The Kitty Krew is great at massages. Although this is the first time I've ever seen one of them give Wrangler one.
