Freedom!

I had a great day. Mom April had flowers delivered and while they were signing for them I escaped. I loved running down the street. Mom April came after me but I was too fast, at least until I got tired. Here is a picture of the flowers.

Jill, John, Hope, and Noah sent them in honor of MIC. It has been 2 whole years since China got the paperwork. We can't wait for her to come. I hope she likes dogs!

Halloween Pics

Mom April found some new costumes for us, but I don't think we liked them much.
KJ's witch face!

Kudos the wizard.

Why am I always the pumkin?

She keeps calling me the devil dog!

Black Friday Shopping

Mom April woke me up at 3:30 this morning. She said something about starting the Christmas shopping, so I'm going to let her tell you what she did. By the way, this post is dedicated to Jill!

I woke up about 3:30 congested. I knew I wasn't going to get back to sleep any time soon so I decided to go ahead and get up. I had joked about getting to Kohl's when they opened at 4am and so that's what I did. Last year was the first time I'd ever gone shopping on the day after Thanksgiving, but we weren't up that early. I got to Kohl's at about 3:50am. The line went all the way across the building, but I couldn't see the end because it was somewhere in the darkness of the parking lot. I didn't see any reason to get out and stand in the cold and drizzle so I stayed in the car. Here's what it looked like out front.
At 3:55 they turned on the lights inside and opened the doors. It was about this time that the rain started coming down. I decided to stay in the car until the line got through. I walked through the doors at 4:14, definitely worth waiting in the car. I found what I was looking for then waited in the checkout line. I was out of there by 5:20am. Definitely a pleasant experience, nobody climbed over me to get at stuff, and I was trampled by running customers. After that I went to Garden Ridge where there was about 20 cars in the lot. Too bad I only needed one thing there. And finally I made my way to Wal-Mart. I hate going to Wal-Mart normally and this was a gazillion times worse. I couldn't find what I wanted, but i didn't really feel like standing the line to check out anyway. I stopped and picked up some Sonic for breakfast on the way, told Paul about the trip and was back in bed by 7:30am.

I'm glad I went because everyone should experience this craziness once, but I don't think I'll do it again, and definitely not by myself!

Levi's 8th Birthday

Levi had a High School Musical party. Dad Paul picked out the coolest RC helicopter for him. The kids had loads of fun with the pinata. They went to see the movie after the party. Happy Birthday, Levi!

Eddie Coker Concert

Mom April and Dad Paul took Levi to a children's concert in Arlington. They had a blast. Levi went onstage (because his birthday is this month). He enjoyed dancing with the other kids. Dad Paul got up there too and did some aerobics with several other dads.

Things Have Been Very Crazy Here

That's my excuse for not posting anything lately. For those who may not have heard already...Mom April is PREGNANT! She is currently about 8 weeks and feeling lousy, something about morning sickness all day long. She has started her own blog just about the pregnancy at www.ourlittlelimbbud.blogspot.com.

She keeps saying that I am going to have to go back to sleeping in the kennel, but I've managed to maintain my space on the bed so far. I hope this new addition will like playing "keep away", that's my favorite game. And just so we are clear, MIC is still coming from China. With my luck they will be the same age. Would that make them fraternal twins?

The Latest Addition

We welcome little Ethan who was born on September 18th. Dad Paul's brother was once again very excited about the birth of his child. I'm not sure how much big sister Kaitlyn like him.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Yesterday was my birthday, so we celebrated after Dad Paul got home from work. Mom April had a cake with candles and special cookies just for me.

The Kitty Krew helped me open my present. I let them play with the tissue paper and gift bag.

Here are my presents, a green frog to replace my reindeer (I sort of exploded his head) and 3 new chew bones. Daisy would be proud I completely destroyed one before dinner.

Happy Birthday Addison

We celebrated Addison's 2nd birthday in Virginia with the whole Walker family. We had 43 family members in attendance. I think Addison was a little overwhelmed with all the fuss!

Supermen

Matthew and Kelly are here visiting and helping to care for Grandpa Mike. Last night Matthew and Uncle Paul both wore their Superman pajamas. Of course, Superman isn't complete until he has his cape. After a quick soar around the house, it was time for bed!

Mail Call

Mom April got a package in the mail from Jill, Hope, Noah and John. There was a MIC gift and a birthday present, but the best part was the Star and Stripes hat for me and the rope toys. I'm all set for the Fourth of July celebration!

Happy Birthday Mom April

Friday was Mom April's birthday. Unfortunately, it wasn't really very festive. Her dad Mike had a tumor removed from his bladder and a biopsy done on his kidney the day before. He stayed with us for a couple of days recuperating. The procedure was more complicated than initially expected and Mom April wasn't prepared. But I liked having him around. He has a doctor's appointment later this week to get the results. I'll post more about that then.

Dad Paul took her out to eat and to get a special birthday dessert. Unfortunately, the "warm brownie" sundae was refrigerator cold. They tried again the next night at Johnny Carrino's where Mom April's pepper-less Italian nachos came with peppers twice! The Krew and I gave her a new necklace and Dad Paul is taking her to see some Chinese acrobats next week.

Mom April says "Thanks" for all the cards and good wishes!

Matthew's New House

Mom April left me with Dad Paul for the weekend to go help Matthew move into his new home. It's a big deal to stay with Dad Paul, you have to remind him about everything. These are some pictures of the new place. I can't wait to go visit, they now have a nice (fenced) back yard. I hear Matthew's dog Daisy is adjusting, but misses getting to run all over the lake.

Matthew at his Cars table in the kitchen.

His new bedding in his blue room.

Playing with the video game. He was very upset when he found out all the tv's were broken (at least until the cable gets set up.) He kept asking for "milk and Tom and Jerry", his usual bedtime treat. He likes his new house but was completely tuckered out.

What Was She Thinking!

Let's just get this straight from the beginning. As any child in the family will tell you, Dad Paul is a pushover. As any little furry four-legged baby will tell you, Mom April is a "SUCKA"! The local shelter sent out a plea for a foster parent to bottle feed some boxer mix puppies. Of course, Mom April to the rescue. They will be taking attention away from me for about 4 weeks. They are kind of cute, but Mom April won't let me play with them. Matthew named them Tom, Jerry, and Spike after his favorite cartoon.

Shaving Cream on Uncle Paul

When Matthew comes to play, Mom April lets him get out the shaving cream. He and Dad Paul had lots of fun drawing pictures and then things got crazy (as you can see from the pictures)! By the way, shaving cream doesn't taste very good. Take my word on that.

Going to the Beach

Matthew and Mom April went to the beach. They had so much fun splashing in the water and playing in the sand. It was very windy so there were lots of waves. There is a playground at the beach too and Matthew loved climbing all over it. They stayed and had a picnic lunch before coming home. Matthew must have had fun because he took a 3 hour nap!

Kirby the Bird

Matthew loves to get Kirby out of cage whenever he comes to visit. At first he seems a little shy with the bird but he soon warms up. Matthew says his favorite thing about Kirby is how he tickles you when he sits on your shoulder.

Nerf Guns with Matthew

Kelly and Matthew came for a visit. I love having him around...he chases me all over the yard. Dad Paul and Matthew set up targets and played with the nerf guns. I tried not to become a target.

Memorial Day 2008

Mom April and Dad Paul decided to go to the Japanese Gardens. I promised to be good and not eat the koi, but they wouldn't let me go. They seemed to have fun. The picture of Mom April is the same thing she does at 5 AM when I am trying to wake her up to play.

Mothers Day 2008

Mom April and I went to East Texas to help her sister pack. My job was to keep Matthew busy so they could do the work. He was a great kid all weekend! James made Kelly and Mom April breakfast this morning for Mothers day. He said anyone who has as many cats as she does deserves breakfast every once in a while. For lunch Dad Paul took Mom April and his parents out. Since it is also the 11th, they ate Asian food in honor of MIC. Although Mom April didn't get pictures with Matthew she did get some at the restaurant. Happy Mothers Day to all moms everywhere!

What happens when Mom April makes the bed...

You get a bed full of kitties!

Matthew is King of the Mountain

Mom April went to pick up Grandma Susan in East Texas. Matthew has been helping help move some mulch to level the area around the camper. Mom April put him on top of the mulch so he be tall. He was a pro with the shovel and wheelbarrel!

Thai Relatives

Grandma Noi's brother and his wife came from Thailand to visit. We went to Aledo to have dinner with them. I couldn't understand a thing they said. But Grandma Noi seemd to be very happy!

Playing in the Backyard

Mom let the Kitty Krew go outside in the backyard with me. She doesn't do that very often because Kumar and Kudos like to jump the fence. They are going to have to tell me how they do it! We all enjoyed the great weather and sunshine. The cats love to eat grass, so I tried some too. (Threw it up later though. Sorry, Mom!) Grandma Susan helped get the flowerbeds ready for spring and Briggs put it the rose trellis. Mom April can't wait for the flowers to start blooming.

My First Trip to the Dog Park

Mom April and Grandma Susan took me to the dog park. There was only one other dog there and he smelled okay. They even have a water fountain just for us dogs.

Please note my new haircut. Bet you didn't realize that I was part dalmation, but just look at those spots!
