Easter Lunch and Hunt with the "Fam"

We went to Uncle Bill and Aunt Cheri's for lunch and an egg hunt with the cousins.  The kids loved the confetti eggs the best.  Bill and Cheri always have a great spread for meals.  The kids liked having hot dogs.  My favorite was the peach cobbler and ice cream.

Dallas Zoo Spring Break

As part of our Spring Break-ation, we went to the Dallas Zoo.  Their giraffe exhibit is one of the reasons why I love this zoo.  Unfortunately, because it was so busy the giraffes weren't hungry so we didn't get to feed them or pet them, but it was still awesome to see them up close.

 

Grandpa Mike went with us and we ate lunch along the way.  The kids got along so well and really enjoyed being there.  My favorite animal of the day was the koala bears.  They have 2 and they were sleeping while we were there.  (My understanding is that they sleep 20 hours a day.)

 

They had a petting zoo which was a little sad, not many animals just a few goats and sheep.

Logan George was especially enamored with Kalyn this visit and was very sweet with her.

Our Nephew Gaven

We got to spend some time with this little cutie recently.  He looks just like his dad (and uncle) when they were little.

 This is how he spent the whole afternoon.  He would take the broom (or floor duster or mop) and clean the floors.  And not just the porch but he did all the hard wood floors in Grandma's house.

 

Apparently, this is his favorite activity.  His mom even had to buy him his own broom and mop so that she could get the cleaning done.

Happy Birthday, Matthew

We celebrated my nephew's birthday at our favorite birthday place...Joe's Crab Shack.  Matt knew were going out to eat but not that we had presents for him and were going to sing.  They had the best s'mores dessert that we used instead of a birthday cake.  The waitstaff sang and made him dance around the restaurent.  Lots of fun for all!

Grapevine Day

We spent one day of Spring Break in Grapevine going to Legoland and the Seal Life Aquarium.
