Project Life Tuesday: Week 8

The Mom Creative

So, I actually completed 2 months worth this week. Woo, hoo! Paul was home for 3 whole days so I was able to get more done while he was playing with the kids.

Logan didn't have as many pictures for July and with the way they fit, I ended up using more journal cards and even some filler cards.

I didn't have space to do a calendar for June, and that is okay. These are some of my favorite pictures. I took Logan's photo wearing one of Paul's button down shirts (like he was wearing for our wedding). I do the same with Sophie in my wedding dress. I print one to hang over the mantle in black and white. Love, love, love it!

Sophie seemed to have more pictures in June, probably because Logan was at VBS and Sophie and I had lots of mornings to play.

Project Life Tuesday: Week 7

The Mom Creative

Another month down, just 7 more to complete 2011. May was a busy month for us...Sophie's birthday celebrations, end of preschool program, cousin Kaitlyn's birthday party, trip to the museum, plus lots of other random stuff.

I've enjoyed looking at all the other layouts and have seen some great ideas. But for now and this album at least I am sticking to the simplest layouts, using just what came in the kit.

Meal Plan February 20

Check out Organizing junkie for lots more ideas.

Here's what we've been eating:

Monday: Aztec Casserole

Tuesday: Denny's where I had banana skillet french toast and the kids had pizza and chicken nuggets.

Wednesday: Sessler Taco Salads

Thursday: Chinese Chicken

Friday: Homemade Gourmet Enchilada Chicken Crockpot

Saturday: We got subway sandwiches on our way to church for the Parents Night Out Paul and I worked at.

Sunday: CORN

Monday: Chicken Nuggets for the kids and cereal for me. Paul's been working so much and I get tired of fixing meals for me and the kids where the kids don't even eat them.

Tuesday: Valentine's Day Red Dinner of Spaghetti, Cheesy Bread, and Brownies

Wednesday: Pizza from our Little Ceasars fundraiser.

Thursday: Crockpot Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches

Friday: Crockpot Chicken Tacos

Saturday: Movie Dinner

Sunday: CORN, we had plenty of leftovers from Thursday and Friday

I got the Pampered Chef microwave chip maker. I made several batches of potato chips using different seasonings. They turned out great. I can't wait to try sweet potatoes and apples.

I'm doing something a little different for the next 2 weeks. I found a website through Pinterest that has weekly menus with grocery lists. Aside from the grocery list, I like that it has 2-3 crockpot meals and a couple of them that you make extra to freeze for later.

I'm using the weekly list to supplement my own stuff. I started with my staples (pizza, salad), special events (out-of-town), then plugged in meals from the website. Finally, I checked my Recipe Pinterest board for recipes to complete the plan.

Here we go:
Monday: Salmon Patties at my Sister's (hopefully)

Tuesday: Tilapia and Veggies Baked in Foil Packets

Wednesday: Sessler Salads

Thursday: Homemade Gourmet Orange Steamed Chicken

Friday: Chicken Broccoli Divan

Saturday:Barbecue Chicken Fajitas

Sunday: CORN

Monday: Italian Beef Sandwiches

Tuesday: Dinner Out (I have a training)

Wednesday: Pizza

Thursday: Bowtie Pasta with Lemon Pepper Chicken

Friday: Crockpot Thai Peanut Chicken

Saturday: Stuffed Shells

Sunday: CORN

Project Life Tuesday: Week 6

The Mom Creative

I completed the month of April pages for both kids this week, plus got everything done except the journal cards for the month of May.

Here are some shots of Logan's pages:

I also counted to be sure that I had about the same number of pages for each child (and I do). I'll probably do this every few months, and make any adjustments if needed.

Here's some Sophie pages:

I should confess that I haven't done any of the artwork pages since the first month. I'm waiting to get the right page pockets.

Project Life Tuesday: Week 5

I had hoped to get more done this week but unfortunately, Sophie's been sick most of the time so I've spent a lot of time just holding her. Of course, I did get layouts for March 2011 done for both kids' albums. If I keep up this pace I'll finish 2011 in just a couple of months. That's actually very good.

Here's some of the layouts I did:

I'm linking up to The Mom Creative where you can see lots more layouts.
