Project Life Tuesday July 24

The Mom Creative

I've been making sure I spend a few minutes working on the journal cards.  I have November completed for Sophie.  It was a fairly light month for pictures, but I made up for it in December.  It was unseasonably warm, so I kept having to double-check I had the pictures in the right month, since the kids were wearing shorts and sundresses so often.

Project Life Tuesday July 17

The Mom Creative

I'm still working on the journal cards so that I can finish the kids albums.  I have just 4 more months to complete and it feels so good to be so close.  Maybe I can get 2 months done each of the next 2 Tuesdays and be done before August.  That will be the goal for the next 2 weeks.

Project Life Tuesday July 10

The Mom Creative

So, in June I got all the photos in the kids albums to complete their 2011 albums.  All that's left is the journal cards.  Here's some pages from Logan's album for October.  Yes, we go to lots of pumpkin patches (some even twice).

Project Life June 2012

The Mom Creative

Because things got so busy, I hadn't been doing much scrapbooking.  But now that preschool is out, I've been able to do more.  I accomplished quite a bit in June, completing the following:
  1. Journal cards for August and September for Logan
  2. Journal cards for September for Sophie
  3. Cropped and placed the remainder of the year for both kids (October through December, just need to do journal cards)
  4. Pocket pages for art work for the entire year for both kids
  5. Sophie's baby (1st year) album (she's only 3 so it was about time)
  6. I also added some things to the kids "yearbooks" that their teachers put together.  Basically, if I had artwork that would fit in 8.5x11 page protectors I put them in those notebooks.
Here are some pictures of the art pockets.

Some of my favorite layouts from Sophie's album:

My plan for July is to complete the journal cards for both kids which will complete those albums.  I'd also like to complete Logan's China album.  I need to figure how I want to continue with their individual albums since Logan will be starting Kindergarten...do I switch my timeframe so that the album follows the school-year or keep it they way I've been doing?  If I switch to the school-year, what do I do about Sophie who won't start school for a couple of years?  Or, do I do a separate album that is just school stuff?  Hmmm, things to think of.

Project Life Week 12

This week I got Logan's September pictures in their pages. Still pushing off the journal cards (I can do those when I have just a few moments while the kids are otherwise occupied). I'm looking forward to summer break so that I can get 2011 completed and maybe even get caught up on 2012. The spring semester is my busiest time at work so getting pages done has proven difficult.

Here's the layouts:

Project Life Tuesday Week 11

I'm not getting as much done but am still trying to do at least a little. This week I got Logan's pictures in for August 2011. I didn't get the journal cards completed but I'll work on them soon.
Here's this week's layouts:

Project Life Week 10

The Mom Creative

Once again I just got one kid done. I should have done Logan but Sophie's pictures were ready so here is September. I used Facebook again to help me remember some of the other moments in our lives (those that didn't get photographed) and I included that information in the journal spaces.

It's definitely time to get back on schedule.

Project Life Week 9

The Mom Creative

So it has gotten much busier around here. I only worked on one kid's album this week. This is from August for Sophie. I seemed to have a lot of journal spaces this time so I utilized the new Timeline on Facebook and went back to that month and wrote some of the status updates that were about Sophie. Like this one about time out:

I included some of her artwork, cut to fit:

I used all this extra space to spell out SUMMER using diecut letters. Then I used the diecut letter on each card within the title, i.e. Sprinkler, CloUd Sand:

I can't wait to work on their albums again. Oh, and the 12x12 pages for their artwork are getting shipped so I'll be able to add those.
