No, we aren't still opening birthday presents. We have some exciting news! We have been pre-approved for a little boy from China. We still have several months left and some additional paperwork, but it looks like this adoption is finally going to happen. We have been collecting stuff for the adopted child-to-be since our paperwork was sent to China. "Stuff" is actually 25+ boxes of books, toys, bags, stuffed animals, cups, games, etc. I would gather everything each month in a large box, wrap it and put a card with the date on it. Now that we have the pre-approval we decided to open the boxes. We know there is lots of stuff that won't be appropriate for a boy, so we figured we'd open them now and then Sophie could have the girl stuff. I'll keep you posted on where we are in the process.
